Palabras rescatadas- recycled book paper necklace

Once part of an old, deteriorated book with missing pages, this paper was no longer able to tell its story in the way it once did. Instead of letting it disappear, I gave it a new life.

The Palabras Rescatadas Necklace features a single hand-rolled bead created from pages rescued from that damaged book. Traces of the original printed words remain visible, making every bead completely different and preserving a tiny fragment of the book’s past.

Suspended from a delicate gold-tone chain, the design is intentionally simple so the rescued paper remains the heart of the piece.

No two necklaces can ever be identical. The words, markings, and placement of the original print vary naturally with every bead, turning each necklace into a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art.

Finished with an adjustable gold-tone chain and the signature Izama Creations charm.
